::sigh:: just when it was getting fun

Josh wants to kill the spider. So she's an immature black widow . . . very few humans actually die from a black widow's bite, and she's awfully useful! It's so sad! I really have enjoyed watching her work!

the itsy bitsy spider

crawled up the water spout, and onto my kitchen windowsill. No rains there. But as I've been watching it spin its web for the last month, I've found myself grow very proud of it. It's a delicate black wench with a perchant for collecting other critters. I love the way the little corpses have collected under her web. She's a very good spider. I've really come to appreciate her! Hey, can you think of an easier way to get ride of the nasty house flies?

solitaire - the game of personal development

Have you ever really thought that much about solitaire? I haven't, but it seems to me that it is a great metaphor for our lives - we have all sorts of factors going on, some seemingly random and some not so random, and we spend our lives trying to put it all in order. We each have stuff that we have hidden or just never knew for various reasons that we uncover and deal with, and then things that life deals to us that we must integrate as best we can into our stacks. And there is always that question - do I deal with what it underneath and try to discover something new? Or do I take the obvious card that was dealt me and put it in the obvious place?

BTW - Hume Lake was great.

love you guys!
