two poems

From the past month and a half.

Confounded
Languishing Love
Lifting embers that
refuse to hold the glow.
Slowly dying.
Which is better? A slow
pain or an icy blow?
A sudden storm to
end it all.
Let icy winter bury me until
a Spring Sun
promises life
once more.

Married at Night
Sleeping bodies
Night time sighs
Gentle warmth
Like lullabies
My head
Your shoulder
soft smooth skin
Blankets tangled
sleep to win
Daybreak ends our
Married bliss
Each day I wait
for Night's cool kiss.
